Entries will be limited to 40 teams for Saturday Mountain Challenge and 80 individuals for the Sunday PRS match – 10 team places have been released for new teams. Returning teams will have 30 days to confirm their place and will then be released to new teams.
Friday 15th March
1000yd Challenge & Sight-in:
The 1000yd Challenge is a pre-match winner takes all optional match starting at 2:00pm. The entry will cost shooters $20 per 3 shots to enter (pay cash on the day or prebuy online). Once they hit the target they will be through to the shoot-off, which will then proceed to a single shot hit/miss to elimination. Prizes: Cash prize based on entries.
Registration and Team Briefing:
Registration is open at 2:00pm. at Avalon. No Show teams at the briefing will need to meet with organisers to ensure they are fully briefed on rules/safety. Squad lists and shooting order will be released. Light refreshments will be provided during briefing.
Satuday 16th March NZ Mountain Challenge:
8:00am – Briefing and transport of all teams to the shooting stations.
8:30am – Cut off for transport up the hill, don’t be late as you will not be able to shoot if you aren’t at the Station by this time.
9:00am – Shooting starts for all competitors.
Prize giving will be held at the conclusion of the event.
As in prior years, we will look to organise a dinner on Saturday evening for competitors, friends and family to enjoy a fun social evening.
Sunday 17th March Precision Rifle Shooting (PRS) Match:
8:00am Briefing and Squad lists.
9:00am Shooting commences.
Prizegiving will be held at the conclusion of the event.
There will be 3 separate prizes.
1) NZ Mountain Challenge Team Winner, 2nd and 3rd Place.
2) PRS Match Individual Match Winner, 2nd and 3rd Place.
3) Overall “King of the Hill” for the best individual score from both days combined, 2nd and 3rd Place.

Confirmation of your new team place will be notified by the 1st December 2018 after the existing contestants have confirmed or given up their places. Any unsuccessful entries will be entitled to a full refund of your entry fees. **
